Fixing remote pairing: Flashing orange light
An orange flashing light on the keyboard remote, even when no keys are being pressed, indicates that it is no longer paired with its USB receiver.
An orange flashing light on the keyboard remote, even when no keys are being pressed, indicates that it is no longer paired with its USB receiver.
To re-synchronize the keyboard remote, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the remote.
2. Press and hold the F1 key without releasing it.
3. While holding F1, turn on the remote, then release the F1 key immediately.
4. Wait a few seconds for the keyboard remote to reconnect. The light should stop blinking.
5. If the issue persists, repeat once again steps 1 to 4 if the light is still blinking.
If the keyboard-remote is still flashing, repeat the procedure but including these additionnal steps:
- Disconnect the USB receiver connected at the end of this USB cable.
- Turn off the keyboard-remote.
- Press and hold the F1 key.
- While holding F1, turn on the keyboard-remote, then release the key immediately.
- Reconnect the USB receiver removed at step #2.
- Wait a moment; the keyboard-remote should reconnect automatically.
Note : You can also use this procedure to turn on the computer if it was turned off.
