Under the main module of your mobile unit, you should see the USB receiver for the keyboard remote. Depending on your unit model, the receiver may be located in one of two places. Disconnect the old receiver and plug in the one provided with the new remote. The remote should begin working within a few seconds if the battery is fully charged. If the orange light on the remote flashes, refer to the 'Re-synchronization' section below.
Some Möbil units include a USB extension cable under the main module to improve signal reception. We recommend not removing this cable.
Using a ladder, lift, or scaffold, access the sound and light module. The receiver is visible beneath the light module, so there's no need to open it. Through the mesh or openings of one of the lights, you should see the USB receiver connected to an extension cable. Unplug the old receiver from the end of the cable and connect the one provided with the new keyboard remote. The new remote should start working within a few seconds if the battery is fully charged. If the orange light flashes, refer to the 'Re-synchronization' section below.
Re-synchronization Instructions
If your keyboard remote doesn’t connect automatically, follow these steps:
Unplug the USB receiver from the computer (you can skip this step and step 5 if the receiver is not accessible).
Turn off the keyboard remote.
Press and hold the F1 key on the remote.
Turn the remote back on, then immediately release the F1 key.
The third LED should start flashing quickly in orange.
Reconnect the USB receiver to the computer.
The orange LED should stop flashing, and only the blue LED should remain on.
