Software Update 2.4.2 - Lü Audio Won’t Mute

Emerging Issue: Lü App Audio Plays Even When Music and Sound Effects Are Unchecked

Overview

We have identified an issue where audio from the Lü app continues to play through the sound system even when the Music and Sound Effects checkboxes are unchecked in the application settings.

This currently prevents users from playing their own music while using the Lü app, since the app will still produce sound even when those options are turned off.

Our development team has been notified and this issue is currently under investigation.

What You May Notice

• Music and Sound Effects are unchecked in the Lü app

• Sound from activities still plays through the speakers

• You are unable to use your own music without hearing Lü sounds at the same time

Temporary Workaround

Until a permanent fix is released, you can mute the Lü app directly in Windows using the Volume Mixer.

How to Mute the Lü App in Windows Volume Mixer

  1. Make sure the Lü app is open

  2. Press Win + D or CTRL + ESC to access the desktop

  3. Right click on the speaker icon in the Windows taskbar

  4. Click Open Volume Mixer

  5. Locate Lü in the list of applications

  6. Lower the Lü volume slider to zero

This will completely mute the Lü app while still allowing you to play your own music from another source such as YouTube or Spotify.

This issue has been escalated to our development team and is actively being investigated.
